SOHO ARTS Food Forest
The Food Forest will create a public, assessable space between the community hall/ meeting room and the public thoroughfare at SOHO ARTS. The space will be a combination of raised garden beds, that have features to allow people to sit, with perennial edible plants, combined with fruit and nut trees, designed and planted with food production in mind.
The area chosen for this project is accessible to people with mobility issues via a small deck extension to the existing ramp. The SOHO ARTS throughfare connects the two village centres in South Hobart and is widely used by community, commuters, students, and hall users daily.
The project is a partnership between South Hobart Sustainable Communities and SOHO ARTS
