Catherine Pettman heads up Sheoak Productions, a Tasmanian based film and digital media production company specialising in cinematic documentary, narrative video and digital media projects.
Sheoak believe storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. Stories are what move us, make us feel alive, and inspire us.
We collaborate with NGO’s, Government and ethical businesses to create work that spans television, theatrical, online learning and site-specific installations.
We strive to find powerful and transformative true-to-life stories and leverage some of the best creative talent to share them in ways that bring them to life with a balance of imagination, innovation and authenticity.
TEN DAYS ON THE ISLAND
Ten Days on the Island was established by the Tasmanian Government in 2001 to develop and deliver a statewide cultural festival of national significance that provides opportunities.;
for Tasmanian artists and companies to present their works to a wider audience,
for the Tasmanian community to be exposed to national and international artists and companies of the highest quality,
assists in providing the state of Tasmania with a legacy of expert professional arts infrastructure.

TRAIL VENTURES
Trail Ventures Pty Ltd is 100% Tasmanian, a for-purpose business effectively operating as a social enterprise. We created, own and operate (aka the current custodians) www.kunanyimountain.run (5th year in 2026) and www.kunanyitrailseries.com.au for the past 4yrs
We’re at a pivotal moment of growth expanding with a new epic destination event funded for the West Coast - event date April 2026 - and have heaps more events across Tasmania ready to roll out when the time is right. We’re also a trail maintenance contractor and started contracting to PWS in 2020. We’ve also been asked to do some consulting.
SOUTH HOBART YOGA & MEDITATION
SHYAM is a community-focussed yoga studio providing a range of classes, workshops, events and activities based around the culture of yoga. The culture of yoga encourages a creative, conscious approach to life which is based on a foundation of physical and mental wellbeing. SHYAM is about authentic, holistic yoga – for the body, mind, emotions, psyche and spirit.
People of all ages and levels of fitness or flexibility are welcome at SHYAM. Most teachers are from the Satyananda Yoga tradition, offering a blend of postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation, from beginners to experienced.
